Leveling Off
Grant had his one-year doctor appointment today (a few weeks late). For a kid that was born in the 90+ percentile, he's starting to level off a bit. I credit that to his increased mobility and increased pickiness in foods he'll eat.
Here's the stats:
Day One - 90% for height, 93% for weight
Two Months Old - 93% for height, 98% for weight
Four Months Old - 98% for height, 98% for weight
Six Months Old - 98% for height, 98% for weight
Nine Months Old - 93% for height, 93% for weight
Today's stats: 31.5" tall (87%) and 25 pounds 8 ounces (75%)
What?!?!? 75% for the weight? Yes, we were shocked as well. Obviously this is normal and there is no problem with our child dropping out of the 90 percentile.
It's is simply one more reminder that our boy is growing up...
... but I think if they could put a percentile on his chipmunk cheeks - they would most certainly be off the charts.

Photo Shoot
Scott is still going through our photos from the Disney trip, but I couldn't wait to post this picture that Scott's mom took:
No, folks - this is not a spectacular Photoshop creation. That's Scott' sister - Jess, Neil Patrick Harris (aka Doogie Howser, M.D. ), and your's truly. Yes - Doogie just happened to be getting coffee at the same place that Jess was at Epcot. And he took time out of his eventful celebrity life to pose for a photo shoot with Jess and me. It was - to say the least - awesome.
Stay tuned for more Disney photos....

Life (as of today)
Well, I really don't have much to post about, but I figured I would anyway - to provide all of you a current look at my life....
Grant is excellent. He'll be a whole 11 months old tomorrow, which is very surreal. Everything that other parents tell you about the time going so fast is absolutely true. It's gone very fast. Now - is it time to start thinking about baby #2? Hmmmm........
Work is good. Busy - every changing - but good.
As for school, I've officially finished my first class. I don't have my final grade yet, but I'm pretty sure I got an A - - an awesome way to start off. The reason I really haven't posted or talked about going back to school is because I really had my doubts that I would follow through with it. I had confidence that I could make it work, but doubts that I actually would. But, here I am. One class under my belt and only 14 (I think) more to go!
It's so different going to school for something. What I mean is that my associates degree is in Business. This is a very broad topic, but very valuable information none-the-less. My bachelor's degree will be in Adult Eduction, which is a considerably more narrow field than Business. It's really been good so far though - I really enjoy the classes and can relate them to my current work - bonus.
As for other random things that have happened in my life lately:
My dental assistant informed me that I have "tori" in my mouth. My tori are on both sides of my lower jaw. After several Google searches, I've discovered that while these tori are harmless, the only way to remove them is via surgery. Now, they don't bother me - in fact, I thought that everyone had them - just part of your standard human mouth. Not so. While the internet says they can only be removed via surgery, I'm trying my own experiment and drinking more milk and eating more yogurt. My reasoning behind this is long and would be exhausting to write out. If you are really interested, we can arrange a face-to-face meeting.
I'm doing excellent on the whole No Caffeine Lifestyle. I did buy a fake cappucino the other day (the ones in the vending machine). I figured that this was mostly sugar, not caffeine and I didn't drink all of it anyway because it was too sweet.
As for running - I'm up to just over 2 miles a day (when I go-last week I went 4 days, the week before - 5). However, this comes at a very bad time of year because not only is it pitch black outside at 5 am, it's also very cold. I'll eventually have to move myself inside and use the elliptical machine - which will be much less enjoyable and rewarding.
Ooo - and I sold several purses on eBay recently and made some extra cash. Enough cash to buy another purse (big smile here), plus extra for paying to my credit card (I am not completely irresponsible, people).
So, alas, that is much of my life right now. Interesting, yet still sane. As it should be.
